As an NC Saw Operator, you will be responsible to produce saw cut parts, within specifications and in accordance with our client's quality standards and operating practices. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating equipment in a safe and productive manner by being organized and self-motivated with the ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize your workload to meet production demands. Having a forklift (counterbalance) and a valid G license considered an asset.

Responsibilities
- Receive drawings and material from storage area.
- Read blueprints and BOM’s to determine correct length for cutting.
- Setup and run NC saws, ensure cut quality and sizes are correct.
- Safely Load and Unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials using a forklift.
- Verify incoming material against purchase order, ensuring that quantity and description match.
- Receive material in the ERP system and properly identifying materials, storing materials in the appropriate location.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy, ensuring material is stored in an organized manner
- Any additional tasks as requested by Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years minimum experience of working in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
- 2-3 years minimum experience with set up and operation of metal cutting NC bandsaws.
- Must have the ability to use different measuring tools, must be able to read a tape measure with an accuracy of +/- 1/16”.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience and knowledge of different kinds of steel, must know the difference and be able to identify CRS, HRS, Alum, Shaft, 4140 etc.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Previous experience with ERP system entry and the basic use of Microsoft Office products.
- Previous experience with overhead crane and forklift is an asset.
