Responsibilities
As an Operations Officer, your duties will include but not limited to:
•Processing transactions accurately and on time
•Escalating processing issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained
•Serve clients as required – adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and internal service delivery standards
•Following firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the firm or clients
•Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and support process improvement initiatives
•Participating fully as a member of the team, promote team effectiveness, and contribute to a positive work environment
•Supporting the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
•Ensuring adherence to all HR policies, other Bank, and Industry Codes of Conduct
•Keeping others informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects and all relevant or useful information related to day to day activities
•Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
•Multi-tasking with multiple applications
•Adapting fast paced environment/ under pressure / high volumes
•Ensuring documentation prepared/completed is accurate and properly
•Assisting in analysis, development, testing, and implementation of operating and process improvements
Qualifications
•Attention to detail a must – must adhere to guidelines due to audits, complying with government requirements
•Accuracy
•Excel skills knowledge – advanced – will be using 100% of the time – need to run macros for each request – need to be able to manipulate macros/troubleshooting. Need to have proven experience with examples for interviews. Experience running the macros
•Typing – strong typing skills – no WPM require but must be quick
•Strong communication – strong English skills (communicating with stakeholders and front-line partners)
•Comfortable with virtual training
•Previous work under tight deadlines (SLAs)
Nice to have:
•ISM company system
•Previous banking experience
•Familiar with VBA
•Create macros to troubleshoot
•RSP/TFSA knowledge
•Wealth management experience
