Responsibilities
Processing Payments and Transactions: Accurately process various financial transactions and payments, ensuring all details align with internal controls and procedures. This will include compliance with registered regulations and adherence to legislative guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, especially regarding tax implications and legislative products. You’ll need to familiarize yourself with these regulations during training and apply them effectively to daily tasks.
Data Management and Accuracy: Review and verify the accuracy of processed data, ensuring all records are up-to-date and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This includes maintaining correct documentation and updating systems as required.
Team Collaboration and Shadowing: Work closely with other team members, especially during the initial training phase (2 weeks to a month), where you will shadow colleagues to learn the processes. Effective collaboration will be crucial for smooth operations.
Risk Management and Escalation: Identify any areas of risk in operations and escalate them to management when necessary. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure and compliant work environment, following bank protocols and codes of conduct.
Process Improvement: Actively engage in identifying opportunities to streamline processes. You are expected to suggest improvements where possible and adopt new technologies and workflows introduced to the team.
Back Office Operations: This role is fully focused on back-office tasks, requiring attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. There is no direct customer interaction, but your work will support the broader organizational goals.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Your performance will be tracked through measurable KPIs and directly observed by the hiring manager, Kanal Patel. Expect to provide regular updates and meet deadlines efficiently to ensure operational success.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
2 years of banking/finance experience
Strong Excel skills
Detail-oriented and excellent communication skills
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in wealth management
Familiarity with MM and FX products (options, foreign exchange, money market)
