Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, Privacy Oversight, your duties will include but not limited to:
•Leading the completion of a risk-based annual monitoring & testing plan, to deliver timely and accurate testing reviews that opine on the adequacy of 1LOD systems, controls and processes to manage privacy risk in Canada and the Caribbean.
•Providing an opinion on the effectiveness of the 1LOD Privacy controls in achieving compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
•Assisting in the execution of Quality Assurance reviews of 2LOD privacy controls, processes and procedures.
•Driving the continual enhancement of the Privacy monitoring & testing program, including enhancing governance procedures, use of data analytics, and methodology improvements.
•Assisting in strategic or ad hoc initiatives as required (including global initiatives).
•Leading the completion of risk-based scope determinations to drive the annual Privacy M&T plan to ensure appropriate coverage.
•Leading and delivering timely and accurate testing reviews that opine on the adequacy of 1LOD systems, controls and processes to manage privacy risk in Canada and the Caribbean
•Providing an opinion on the effectiveness of the 1LOD Privacy controls in achieving compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
•Executing on QA reviews of 2LOD privacy controls, processes and procedures, including PARA, PIRT (including sample based testing of non-reportable PIRT incidents), SRMA, and program-related activities.
•Working with colleagues to develop testing observations and issues requiring remediation, review and advise on the adequacy of management actions plans to resolve issues identified.
•Driving the continual enhancement of the Privacy M&T program by developing/improving methodology, driving the development of data analysis where relevant, and enhancing governance processes.
•Delivering timely responses to key stakeholders, including 1LOD contacts, IAS, other risk domains and external regulatory enquiries.
•Leading ad-hoc projects and activities as required (management requests, committee reporting, global coordination initiatives).
Qualifications
•Expertise in privacy, RCM, or regulatory risk management practices
•Experience in financial services organizations or regulatory bodies
•Ability to work effectively with competing deadlines
•Proven effective stakeholdering and communication skills
•University degree in law, business, finance or a related field
•Working on multiple priorities with competing deadlines
•Working with varied and senior stakeholders
•Communicating succinctly and with influence
•Strong attention to detail
•Experience assessing design and operational effectiveness of internal controls
•Ability to work autonomously and deliver against timelines
•Proven effective communication skills
Nice to have:
•Privacy Accreditation (IAPP)
•Experience executing control testing programs
