Responsibilities
•Member of a software product development team which produces professional tax software.
•Analysis of T1 tax law changes, including moderate to highly complex tax issues
•Using internally created tools to program these tax changes into our product
•Supporting the team to ensure deliverables are on-time and of high quality. Quality is defined as contributing to solutions that deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience and a high measure of compliance with business and technical requirements, and product/process documentation
•Continuously develops research and analysis skills for tax legislation, regulations, forms and instructions
Qualifications
•3 or more years of recent experience preparing Federal Individual tax returns for clients/customers, using commercial tax preparation software
•Previous in-depth utilization of tax preparation software is highly preferred
•Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software
•Prior programming/coding experience preferred
•Aptitude/ability to learn tax content development programming skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
•Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills and determination
•Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
