Responsibilities
Requirement Elicitation: Interact with various stakeholders, such as business users, product owners, and subject matter experts, to understand their needs and goals. They conduct interviews, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to gather requirements.
Requirement Analysis: Analyze, organize, and prioritize the requirements based on business value and feasibility. Identify conflicting or ambiguous requirements and work with stakeholders to resolve them. Provide insights into the business domain, identify business process improvements, and suggest innovative solutions to meet business goals.
Requirements Documentation: Create detailed requirement documents that will be used as a part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and other procurement documents.
Procurement Support: Facilitate the evaluation of vendor proposals against the business requirements.
Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the development team. Facilitate effective communication, ensuring that both parties understand each other's perspectives and requirements.
Requirements Validation: Validate the requirements with stakeholders and the multidisciplinary team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business objectives.
Change Management: Help manage evolving or changing requirements by assessing their impact, coordinating with stakeholders, and updating the documentation accordingly. Ensure that changes are properly communicated and understood by the team.
Risk Analysis and Risk Mitigation: In collaboration with the Project Director, contribute to the identification and management of project risks.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in retrospectives and post implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas of improvement.
Qualifications
The proposed proponent must possess the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience in business analysis and requirements documentation.
Recent experience with the delivery of software solutions.
Excellent communications skills to effectively interact with project team members, vendors, subject matter experts, users, and other stakeholders.
Strong skills in workshop planning and facilitation.
The following skills and experience are considered an asset: Experience working with Public Sector software projects.
Experience writing documents for the procurement of technical solutions.
Strong skills in the use and knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, JIRA, and other collaboration tools.
