We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator for a manufacturing company in the Burlington area. We are looking for someone who has 1-2 years of previous experience within Health and Safety and Industrial Hygiene. This is for a one-year contract position that will offer not only a chance to work within an established company, but also a chance to gain desired experience within Health and Safety.

- Hours: between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
- $28-$30 an hour based on experience

Responsibilities
- Track, investigate and report on near misses and incidents
- Conduct safety meetings, tours, and conversations with internal partners/ employees
- Plan, coordinate and conduct EHS training for new and existing employees
- Assess and report on EHS Stats monthly
- Attend national EHS monthly meetings and provide updates to leadership
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections – ex. JHSC inspection, first aid
- Implementation and maintenance of the company’s safety program in conjunction with all regulatory bodies
- Willing to support other departments with administrative task when needed
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
-1-2 years of experience with Environmental Health and Safety and/or Quality
-Experience and/or knowledge of Industrial Hygiene
-JHSC Certified
-ISO (Quality) knowledge
-Excellent computer and communication skills
-Excellent reporting, writing and intellectual skills
-Someone who is able to work independently
