Here are your responsibilities for this role at this leader in the financial industry in downtown Montreal:
- Assist the Payroll Supervisor in completing the bi-weekly payroll cycle (preparation, data entry, verification, production);
- Issue Records of Employment;
- Calculate allowances and ensure administrative follow-up of files with the CNESST;
- Draft various documents such as employment confirmation letters;
- Respond to requests and questions from managers, employees and external organizations regarding payroll and benefits.
Responsibilities
Manage projects related to the evolution of the payroll practice;
Identify and analyze organizational needs to improve and/or optimize Workday solutions for the payroll module using your project management skills;
Write analysis reports and make recommendations within projects ;
Be responsible for managing payroll module requests, adjustments and configurations;
Report efficiency issues, e.g. inefficiencies in procedures, processes, methodology, propose solutions and ensure their implementation;
Manage the payroll system modules, identify business needs, issues or requirements and evaluate, recommend and develop required improvements;
Carry out updates to the payroll system parameters;
Develop or participate in the development and implementation of management tools and tools for the clients served;
Provide professional advice on all payroll related issues;
Ensure the resolution of problems that arise in the course of his/her work;
Organize and plan his/her work according to known deadlines.
Qualifications
College degree in an appropriate discipline;
Extensive knowledge of payroll in a global context;
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Master Payroll;
Proficiency in Office 365 suite and particularly Excel (advanced level);
Excellent knowledge of tax laws and government regulations;
Knowledge of integrated Payroll/HR systems including Workday, an asset;
Availability to work overtime, as needed;
CPA certification is an asset;
Knowledge of the ADP solution, an asset.
