Responsibilities
-Payroll Processing: Manage bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees using Workday, ensuring full ycle completion.
-Data Integrity: Maintain the accuracy of payroll data, processing requests for new hires, employee changes, leaves, and terminations.
-Employee Support: Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues promptly and accurately.
-Compliance: Calculate and prepare remittances for deductions, garnishees, insurance, pension plans, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
-International Payroll: Manage and validate payroll information for overseas employees, and handle payroll-related accounting tasks including journal entries and international retiree payments.
-Documentation & Reporting: Process Records of Employment, participate in payroll audits, prepare employment confirmation letters, and handle monthly deposit notices.
-Process Improvement: Research and implement best practices for payroll processes and ensure compliance with all payroll procedures.
Qualifications
-Experience: Minimum of 3 years in payroll processing, with a focus on complex, multi-jurisdictional payroll systems.
-Skills: Proficiency in Workday, bilingual (French/English), and strong understanding of payroll-related accounting principles.
-Personality: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
