Responsibilities
Assist in managing the full cycle of in-house weekly and biweekly payroll for 400+ employees, including providing vacation coverage.
Confirm and process new hire information, manage status changes, enter tax details, apply employee deductions, verify terminations, and process Records of Employment (ROEs).
Ensure all received information is processed accurately within the correct pay period, reflecting any changes appropriately.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of union agreements, benefits, and compliance with all external agencies.
Assist with reconciliations, year-to-date calculations, and union remittances.
Support the orientation and new hire process.
Qualifications
3+ years of Payroll Experience
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or active pursuit of the designation is an asset.
