Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for our manufacturing and logistics employees, including data entry, calculations, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Verify and reconcile timecards, attendance records, and other payroll-related data to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration of new hires, terminations, and employee data changes into the payroll system.
Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, ensuring compliance and accurate tax reporting.
Process wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposits accurately and on time.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings summaries, tax withholdings, and other relevant information.
Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll promptly and professionally.
Work closely with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and contribute to month-end processes.
Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in the manufacturing and logistics industry.
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
