Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
- Manage hours recorded in the time management system for management and unionized employees;
- Complete the processing of timesheets for each pay period cycle into the accounting system. (Tips, service charges, vacation, statutory vacations, etc.);
- Carry out government remittances (DAS) and other remittances; Unions, Comité Paritaire, ROE, CNESST;
- Monitor group insurance premiums and union dues;
- Ensure application and compliance with internal policies and collective agreements;
- Follow up on requests from the Human Resources Directors of the various companies;
- Record employee files in the payroll management system to issue pay cheques;
- Update active and non-active employee information files;
- Follow up with inactive employees for payment of outstanding balances;
- Post invoices to accounts payable in accounting system;
- Assist, support, train and educate our employees and managers in payroll matters;
- Perform audits of internal controls;
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations relating to Canadian compensation and labor standards (CNESST, Workers Health and Safety Centre );
- Participate in other accounting tasks;
- Participate in special projects (including implementation and updating of payroll-related systems);
- Any other related tasks;

Canadian Payroll Association certification (an asset)
Experience in unionized and non-unionized environments (an asset)
Excellent knowledge of payroll systems (Ceridian, Employeur D, Sage 300, ADP)
Written and oral communications: French: Advanced English: Functional
3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position.
Previous experience in a hotel environment is considered an asset.
