- Full time hours - Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm (37.5 paid hours per week - 5 full days per week); closed stats and weekends - must be open to adapt to possible schedule changes based on business needs which may involve some evenings or shared weekends

Responsibilities
Pharmacist - FT hours, 12-month Contract - Specialty Compounding
- This role is primarily tasked with overseeing the daily management of all activities related to dispensing medications to patients, following both corporate guidelines and provincial pharmacy regulations.
- The Pharmacist ensures that processes are controlled to maintain adherence to both professional and corporate standards for accuracy and quality.
- Additionally, the position involves supervising technical staff and coordinating pharmacy operations with distribution and order entry functions.
- The Pharmacist also engages with clients to discuss pharmacy services and resolves any issues with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists.
Manage all aspects of prescription dispensing, including:
- Oversee technical operations involved in dispensing medications to guarantee adherence to both provincial and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Provide patient counseling typically by phone, complete accurate documentation, and provide professional pharmaceutical care.
- Lead and prioritize the production process using professional expertise to address critical patient needs.
- Refer to pharmaceutical literature and SOPs to guide decisions related to the compounding of admixtures.
- Incorporate Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) and policy requirements into daily operations, ensuring that staff follow them accurately.
- Validate and maintain quality assurance protocols and records.
- Evaluate the equipment, materials, and procedures used within the facility, and suggest improvements when necessary.
- Assist with production tasks, such as sterile compounding, as needed based on workload demands (scent-free environment - no make-up no jewelry, PPE required when in compounding areas)
- Engage in or oversee drug preparation activities to ensure compliance with standards.
- Other duties as required to support patient care and safety.
Qualifications
Pharmacist - FT hours, 12-month Contract - Specialty Compounding
- Licensed Pharmacist in BC and in good standing with the College of Pharmacy
- Sterile IV compounding related experience preferred or prior experience in a hospital inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred - not required
- Kroll experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service for all patients
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
