This contract starts as soon as possible and will run for approximately one month - if you do well in the role, there is a possibility that your contract will be extended.
This role is perfect for someone who has pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, a Pharmacy Student or Intern or an Internationally-Trained Pharmacy Professional who is pursuing licensing in Canada, who is detail-oriented and keen on working in a non-patient-facing role. We are looking for an individual who lives in or can easily commute to the Burlington area.

Responsibilities
What YOU will be doing as a Pharmacy Assistant:
- Picking and labeling medications for pharmacy technicians to then verify, affixing patient information labels to medications and supporting patient service and communication
- Communicating in-person and over the phone with pharmacy staff members to support patient service
- Prepare and print shipping waybills, ensuring 100% accuracy of order and shipment information
- Filling prescriptions in an office-style pharmacy environment
- Enter prescription or patient information into Kroll software
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Pharmacy Assistant:
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in any pharmacy setting
- Excellent attention to detail, able to spot and fix errors
- Fast learner, comfortable with on-the-job training
- Great communications skills and an appreciation of the importance of patient safety, communication and care
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a large team
- Comfortable walking and being on your feet for much of the day
- Able to lift up to 10lbs
