Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for day-to-day and strategic engineering tasks
- Maintain, develop, and operate manufacturing systems and equipment
- Management of all machinery and equipment including but not limited to high-pressure boilers and compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, thermo foaming, pasteurizing, sterilizing, fire protection machinery etc
- Conduct tests ensuring optimum utilization of machinery and resources
- Conduct studies on the reliability and performance of facilities and machinery
- Maintain and improve control of health and safety, fire, and other hazards of the plant
- Upgrade processing systems
- Determine best use of the workforce to achieve optimum cost advantages
- Solve mechanical production problems
- Communicate with vendors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Power engineering class 3 or 4 license
- Experience in Ammonia refrigeration, High pressure boilers and compressors
- Engineering experience of a seafood manufacturing plant
- Experience with thermo foaming machines, pasteurizing, and sterilizing machines, fire protection, production systems, occupational health, and safety, seafood manufacturing machines etc.
- Advance English and French level
