Responsibilities
Operate digital print equipment
Use standard finishing equipment (paper cutters, bindery, laminating, drill)
Serve as the point of contact for receiving customer requests, providing estimates, scheduling, and tracking production
Perform quality control inspections before, during, and after each production run
Track and store jobs as required for future use
Maintain production logs and reporting for billing purposes
Wrap, pack, label, and ship finished products
Maintain appropriate supply inventory levels
Troubleshoot basic production, delivery, and output issues
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be on your feet for up to 80% of the day
Walking between buildings and moving equipment is required
Skills Required:
Operate digital color equipment and electronic workflow tools
Modify document layouts and impositions to achieve desired results
Apply color management, color correction, trapping, and image editing
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software
Advanced computer skills, including the ability to locate and configure network devices (drives, files, printers)
Proficiency with desktop publishing and graphic illustration software
Ability to coach and mentor co-workers
Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in a print shop environment
Education: Post-secondary technology training or equivalent experience. Specialized training in graphic arts, imaging science, or print technology, as well as experience with network or multiple operating systems, is preferred
