Responsibilities
Key Relationships:
Internal: Collaborate with key stakeholders across all functions and levels, including procurement teams.
External: Engage with regional and global procurement colleagues, as well as multiple management levels within key supplier organizations for negotiations and ongoing management.
Key Responsibilities:
Competitive Advantage: Deliver significant competitive advantages to the client by generating and managing national supply arrangements.
Supplier Development: Select and develop suppliers based on well-defined criteria aligned with business objectives, ensuring the highest standards of performance.
Cost-Effective Processes: Design and implement cost-effective procurement processes to achieve the lowest total acquisition cost while balancing the needs of internal customers, Procurement, and Audit Services.
Service Level Agreements: Develop and implement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with contracted suppliers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Cross-Functional Commitment: Ensure full cross-functional commitment to procurement strategies through effective communication, education, and evaluation of initiatives.
Market Analysis: Analyze financial and market data to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the external environment, proactively managing the Indirects portfolio.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other member of Operating Companies to support regional and global initiatives, ensuring the client costs benchmark favorably.
E-Commerce Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of new e-commerce technologies and tools, supporting the local digital strategy.
Contract Management: Collaborate in defining legal contracts and monitor key supplier performance to meet and exceed internal customer requirements, Procurement, and Audit Services.
Stakeholder Education: Educate internal and external stakeholders on local and global policies and procedures, as well as e-enablement practices.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably within an FMCG organization.
Thorough knowledge of the Canadian supply market, supplier capabilities, and expected trends.
Professional knowledge of indirect procurement principles and processes, including high-value negotiations.
Experience in supplier and contract management, with an understanding of legal issues and contractual principles to formulate contracts and SLAs effectively.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high-level interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management, capable of managing multi-functional teams.
Excellent negotiation skills, with a focus on total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
Familiarity with e-commerce tools (e.g., e-Procurement, e-Catalogue, e-Contract Management, e-Auctioning, e-RFX, particularly COUPA & SAP) to enhance indirect procurement processes.
Understanding of risk management and supplier assessment processes.
Education:
A university degree in Business, Supply Chain specialization, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
