Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and direction within the sales department
· Establish and execute strategic plan to grow revenues and profits of the region
· Develop or strengthen relationship with customers
· Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure sufficient and suitable product is available to meet customer demands
· Identify and respond to customer needs quickly and effectively
· Develop and achieve annual forecast by customer and industry
· Delegate effectively and give meaningful feedback and recognition where appropriate
· Communicate clearly the direction of the region and the company both internally and externally
· Support and maintain compliance with company policies and local laws that regulate the business
Key Duties:
· Develop and implement short, mid-range and long-term marketing, sales and operational strategies and plans
· Keep up to date with trends and developments in business, economy and technology
· Develop and foster strong customer and supplier relationships
· Represent the company in the business community
· Support and follow corporate directives, goals and objectives
· Effectively monitor and review own and others’ performance against objectives and milestones
· Foster and maintain employee morale and motivation
Qualifications
· Prior sales experience in the steel or construction industry preferable
· Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
· Effective communications and negotiation skills
· Strong customer service and retention
· Product Knowledge
· Moderate travel is required; a valid driver’s license is required.
· Ability to read customer’s drawings preferable
