Do you have experience working in a large food production facility? We are looking for 2 Production Associates to join the team of the leading producer and distributor of packaged fresh bakery goods!
What you need to know:
* 12 hour shifts *
Position: Temporary to permanent
Role: Production Associate

Schedules available: Wednesday to Saturday (4 x 12 hr shifts) OR Thursday to Saturday (3 X 12 hr shifts)
Shift times: 6 am - 6 pm
Location: Annacis Island, BC
Payrate: $20+/hr
*Must be legally permitted to work full-time in BC, Canada
*Must be comfortable with and available for the 12-hour shift requirements
Your main responsibility is to assist the dough mixers with loading ingredients (bag dump), and scaling buckets. You may also be required to support the packing team with stacking boxes as needed.

Responsibilities
* Operate the bag dump
* Ensure accurate scaling of ingredients at all times
* Ensure all tools are cleaned before using
* Fill ingredient bins as required and maintain documentation including LOT # tracking
* Maintain various checklist documents including pre-operational checks
* Report any defects, shortages, or changes to the Supervisor
* Clean machines and sweep the floor during production when possible
* Maintain a sanitary and tidy work area including scaling and mixing areas
* Support packing area as required
* Work as a team and cooperate with your fellow team members at all times
Qualifications
* Excellent time management and organization skills
* Ability to prioritize and think ahead
* Good communication skills including reading & writing
* Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
* No physical limitations and comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
* Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
* Comfortable wearing PPE including hair/beard nets, and no jewelry allowed
* Steel toed boots required; all other PPE supplied
