Responsibilities
Spend 20% of each shift operating the Clamp Truck, which involves:
-Moving large 3000lb rolls of paper from storage to the press area.
-Maneuvering rolls onto in-floor mechanisms for loading onto the press.
-Staging additional rolls for future runs.
-Removing scrap paper debris and recycling it.
-Handling finished rolls, staging them for shipping.
-Operating the forklift safely.
Dedicate 80% of each shift to assisting the team with "press changeovers," a physically demanding role that includes:
-Lifting loads weighing up to 50lbs.
-Managing heavy metal parts on wheeled carts.
-Climbing staircases.
-Bending, crouching, and reaching into tight spaces.
-Maintaining a strong grip.
-Scrubbing ink from various press parts.
-Standing, walking, and performing additional physical movements.
-Complete press changeover activities, such as assisting the press operator, preparing roller plates and gears, changing printing plate rollers, and ensuring all components are ready for the next run.
Other responsibilities
-Conduct pre-shift inspections of the press and forklift.
-Follow directions from team members and management with precision.
-Fill in for coworkers on other presses during breaks or absences as needed.
-Adhere to health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or infractions to supervisors.
-Provide support to other team members as required.
-Maintain accurate shift reports and documentation.
Qualifications
