The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of complex, multi-region, enterprise-wide functional programs
The Senior Program Manager will coach and guide the Project and Program Managers within the leader function and contribute to defining best practices in partnership w/ the portfolio management. They will be experts in what-if scenario planning and presenting options to executive leadership to help make decisions in partnership with functional leaders.
- Responsible for the overall delivery of the program from inception to development that serve long-term business objectives including but not limited to enabling/unlocking a new capability, new category or new enterprise-wide technology solution implementation or migration
- Operates with a high degree of ambiguity and creates new processes/frameworks
- Oversees project managers and business analysts responsible for tactical delivery of key projects within the program
- Creates program timeline, stakeholder analysis, communication plan, dependency management, status reporting to track progress across multiple workstreams within the program(s).
- Unblocks the team and proactively problem solves where applicable throughout the project lifecycle
- Effectively anticipates potential risks and development strategies to prevent realization of risks while providing transparency to the applicable stakeholders with little to no guidance from Technology Manager or Director
- Creates and manages program roadmap, leverages shared tools, and ensures systems being built are in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Engineering principles.
- Ensures deliverables are compliant with security standards, cost optimization, and re-architecting opportunities and that the program delivers the expected outcomes, supports business objectives, is of quality
- Guides the project and program managers in ensuring the objectives and tasks of a project are understood, assigned, documented, tracked and are measurable.
- Actively participates in in Program Management Community of Practice
- Responsible for project related resource management and 3rd party vendor management, including onboarding and offboarding
- Develops relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across regions (NA, EMEA, APAC, China) and cross functional teams to ensure solutions meet timeline and business objectives.
- Completess all project documentation required based on the enterprise or program PMO process. Point of Contact for Procurement, Security, Legal
- Responsible for coaching and guiding the project managers and program managers within the function
- Engages in and communicates ideas for supporting the continuous improvement of PMO processes with a positive and constructive attitude and supports with developing this attitude in others in partnership with Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Director.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years working in Technology or a related field
10+ years experience in delivery management and 5+ years in Program Management.
- High understanding of technology domain, stack and skills and ability to manage a team of engineers, architects, and operational specialists.
- Experience in managing waterfall, hybrid, and agile delivery teams
- 2+ years in coaching program managers
- Proven track record and experience working in a global company with technology teams in India and NAM to be able to guide / coach the program managers in engagement model
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and Change Management Certification (PROSCI) nice to have
- Experience in delivering change to multiple different functional groups
- Ability to translate ideas into clear, high impact communications to executives, managers, employees, and business partners
- Passionate for problem solving and deep expertise in critical thinking to unblock the team with minimum guidance w/ the ability to excel in an ambiguous environment
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-program environment with changing priorities
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, with ability to manage through ambiguity and complexity, invent and simplify processes, and simultaneously support multiple projects impacting a growing global organization.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate risks and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints.
- A curious and creative problem solver with proven team leadership
- Ability to cheerlead, conflict manage and negotiate with stakeholders on competing priorities
