Responsibilities
What will you be doing every day?
- Effectively manage technical projects to ensure their completion within designated timelines and budget constraints.
- Lead the detailed design and development of products and processes, aligning with defined objectives.
- Review and enhance existing product designs, actively seeking opportunities for improvements or cost reductions.
- Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and various departments as required.
- Review and approve the work conducted by team members under the guidance of the Product Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
What do you bring to the role?
- An engineering degree is required (P. Eng, or EIT close to completion)
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, including expertise in materials properties, selection, and stress analysis.
- Proven track record in successfully managing technical projects from concept to production.
- Strong background in working collaboratively within a technical team and providing guidance to junior staff.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing documentation.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, along with knowledge of their advantages and limitations.
- Experience with mechanical testing equipment, methods, and a solid understanding of the ISO9001 Quality System.
