Responsibilities
At start of project reviews, quotations and plans for completion date, budget, construction schedule and processes, staffing requirements, sub-trades
Leads, communicates continuously with the site supervisor to ensure that all construction activities are progressing according to terms-of-reference, budget and timelines (checklists, supply lists, delivery dates, etc.)
Continuously ensures strict and timely management and control of all assignment expenses, billings, extras, change orders and construction costs
Reviews construction documents /shop drawings for consistency with Dama’s professional and quality standards
Assists Estimation with the development of bid packages, communication with approved list of bidders, qualification
Assign and negotiate contract to sub-contractions making sure they have the latest version of documents
Responsible for maintaining cost tracking database for all new construction project
Directs, coordinates and communicates changes to constructions and equipment that are required due to cost, clarification, code requirements, and also negotiate needed order changes as required
Updates and manages all of the processes (checklists, supply lists, delivery dates, etc.) required to efficiently execute projects
Manages project turnover from the construction phase to the finished product Setup Team including orientation walk throughs of spaces and systems with all participants involved, Landlord and City approval coordination, etc.
Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
Performs other tasks and duties requested by Production Department Team Leader.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years administrative experience
Minimum of 5 years of Project management
Experience working in the construction industry required
Basic construction, facilities, or comparable – administrative experience
Ability to manage priorities and highly organized.
Bilingual English and French (written/spoken)
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
Works well independently as well as a part of a team.
