Responsibilities
Lead initiatives to drive continuous engineering improvements across multiple facilities.
Manage capital projects from conception to commissioning, including budget preparation, cost tracking, and vendor negotiations.
Identify and prioritize project opportunities, overseeing them from start to finish.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to enhance plant efficiency through technological advancements and process optimization.
Provide technical support for troubleshooting plant equipment and services.
Represent the company in interactions with government agencies for permitting and obtaining necessary approvals.
Support Plant Managers in promoting a culture of continuous improvement within manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
At least 10 years of progressive engineering/technical experience in a manufacturing setting, with 8 years in a leadership role.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing capital projects.
Experience in food manufacturing is an asset and meat manufacturing experience is preferred.
Familiarity with ammonia plant operations is a plus.
P.Eng. designation required
Willingness to travel regularly
