Responsibilities
Health & Safety:
- Work in compliance with the Health & Safety Act, and regulations including using any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the employer.
- Report any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to the employer or supervisor.
Technical / Function-Specific:
- Supervision of interior/exterior activities, to ensure that the proprietary product is completed according to the contract documents, and the companies high standards.
- Review all interior and exterior finishing.
- Plan and direct all interior/exterior aspects upon completion of successful installs.
- Work closely with project managers, quality department, and service department to ensure that scheduled sub trades perform their work accurately.
- Generate punch lists, provide finishing schedules, and due dates.
- Proactively seek solutions to challenges, and problems
- Effectively communicates with all stakeholders internally, and externally ensuring project runs smoothly.
- Order parts through the project team, and organize delivery of all materials to the construction site.
- Manage daily service activities along workers, and sub-trades to ensure targets are met.
- Review client punch list reports, and supervise repairs as required.
- Organize and delegate deficiency work with various sub-trades.
- Attend coordination meetings, and adjust progress to meet site requirements.
Internal / External Customer Service:
- Interfaces with clients, and schedules regular reviews with them.
- Goes out of the way to ensure quality, and delivery of service to customers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 2-5 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience working with tools.
- Experience supervising employees.
- Understanding of health & safety and construction regulations, as it applies to onsite activities.
- Strong communication skills: verbal & written.
- Excellent computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Exceptional organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to schedule work.
- Required to travel around Vancouver on a daily basis.
