Responsibilities
• Develop and execute PR strategies tailored to the Home Improvement sector in Canada.
• Cultivate relationships with media, influencers, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
• Draft press releases, pitches, and media kits that resonate with the Canadian market.
• Secure media coverage in relevant publications, both digital and print, including trade journals, local news, and industry blogs.
• Manage media inquiries and act as the spokesperson for the brand when necessary.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing detailed reports on the success of PR initiatives.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and news to identify PR opportunities.
• Organize and promote industry events, product launches, and press conferences.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in public relations, with a focus on the Canadian Home Improvement industry.
• Strong network of media contacts within the home improvement, construction, or real estate sectors.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling stories.
• Experience managing PR campaigns from strategy to execution.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fractional role.
• Knowledge of digital media and influencer marketing is a plus.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR analytics.
• Bilingual (English and French) is an asset but not required.
