The ideal candidate will be a fully ticketed journeyman or red seal heavy equipment technician with expertise in repairing, rebuilding, CVIP certifying, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles ranging from cargo trucks to long-haul semi-trucks and trailers.
CVIP preferred, but a Red Seal ticket as an On-Road / Heavy Equipment Technician is mandatory.
This is for a shop job within the city of Saskatoon, with no travel needed

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
As part of mechanic team, you'll play a crucial role in the repair and servicing of trucks and trailers (class 6 and class 8 semi-trucks + trailers), including but not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues
Performing repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
Overseeing the inspection and certification process for Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP)
Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
Providing assistance and guidance to less experienced technicians as needed
Additionally, there will be times when you'll operate a service truck for off-site repairs. Rest assured, service calls include a food allowance, overnight wage, and hotel coverage.
The mechanic team also supports the production team if ever forklifts or powerjacks needed repairing.
Qualifications
What you bring:
A Red Seal ticket as an Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Transport Mechanic
Class 1 License and a clean Drivers Abstract
CVIP is nice to have (plus additional pay)
Experience with International is a bonus.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Flexibility and adaptability as the work load covers everything from CVIP and power jack repairs to full engine rebuilds and service truck calls
