Responsibilities
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Burlington, ON
✔ Ensure adherence to College of Pharmacy standards in all work activities.
✔ Accurately process prescriptions, including data entry, refill scheduling, medication preparation, and technical release.
✔ Wear cleanroom PPE while performing sterile compounding tasks.
✔ Assist in maintaining drug inventory: purchasing, receiving, checking expiration dates, and conducting inventory counts.
✔ Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, physicians, and clinic staff primarily through phone and email communication.
✔ Ensure medications are stored properly, especially those that require specific temperature controls.
✔ Efficiently manage dispensing and shipping schedules.
✔ Process account payments over the phone with patients.
✔ Monitor refrigerator temperatures and report any discrepancies to the Pharmacy Manager.
✔ Attend staff meetings as required.
✔ Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.
