CRITERIA DETAILS
-Strong experience provisioning, configuring, optimizing Data Pipelines using Azure Synapse- 30 points
-Strong experience with Data Science/ Data Modeling - 30 points
-Strong experience developing Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards- 30 points
-Experience in an Agile Environment- 10 points
-TOTAL 100 points
Deliverables include, but are not limited to:
-Design and develop features based on the identified requirements
-Build functional mock-ups and assist the Product Owner in User Feedback sessions
-Implement automated tests to ensure quality of the feature
-Fix all associated bugs from the feature development
-Develop required steps for the Deployment Runbook
-Support with investigating and fixing Production bugs
-Documentation and knowledge transfer of implemented feature to the existing team
Additional Terms
-Ontario Health assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario without prior written approval from Ontario Health.
Knowledge Transfer Details:
-The Candidate will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Ontario Health team before end of agreement
-The Candidate must provide documentation as part of Knowledge transfer protocol.
-The Candidate should provide knowledge transfer to new resource at a minimum over a one-week transition period.
-Code Reviews will be performed and documented as part of the knowledge transfer process
-All code is considered OH material and will be checked in to OH repository

Responsibilities
-Lead design/requirements sessions with Product Management, data experts and end users to document/understand the reporting and analytics needs
-Work with Business Analysts to construct wireframes, mock-ups, and in an Agile development process create Power BI Embedded reports.
-Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems which arise during the use and operation
-Evaluate and determine appropriate architecture, technical specifications, solution design and make recommendations to product management.
-Diagnose and troubleshoot functional and performance issues, implement corrective fixes, preventive fixes and triage as required.
-Partner with DevOps Engineer to ensure support of developed reports in all environments.
Qualifications
-2+ years' experience provisioning, configuring, optimizing Data Pipelines using Azure Synapse
-Minimum 5+ years' experience with Data Science / Data Modeling
-Minimum 5+ years’ experience developing Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards (Mobile enabled).
-Strong experience with understanding user experience and designing visually effective reports and dashboards (please include portfolio of work samples.)
-Strong experience with Power BI performance modeling and optimization.
-Strong experience developing within Microsoft Azure
-Hands-on development experience with d3.js
-Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a manner that is understandable
-Power BI Embedded application experience would be an asset
-Working experience of Microsoft Azure Services – Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, and Azure DevOps Automation
-Expert level experience with SQL
-Working experience of security best practices
-Experience in an Agile environment
-Passion for learning the latest technologies and standards
-Self-learner and highly self-motivated
-Creative, solution-oriented, flexible with a positive attitude and a drive for excellence
-Ability to successfully multi-task and work to tight deadlines
-Accurate with excellent attention to detail
