-The Project Manager/Leader - Senior will be working on the Provincial Common Integration Service team that are responsible for managing and delivering common service product, such as the ONE Access Gateway (OAG) and Transaction HistOry Repository (THOR). OAG is the next generation Gateway solution enabling secure access to provincial Electronic Health Record (EHR) assets for clinicians and patients. THOR is an Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana (ELK) instance, which serves as a centralized log aggregation platform to enable applications monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting. OAG with THOR enable security and auditing capability for EHR data access.
-As a member of the PCIS team, the Senior Project Manager will work with various teams within the Agency and its partners and lead large, complex program/project or operational initiatives, ensuring deliverables are executed within scope, timelines and budget. The project manager is expected to manage multiple projects and one of the projects specifically is to migrate the OAG and THOR from on-premise data center to the cloud.
-The project assignments typically have clearly defined goals, but no (or minimal) direction with respect to what action steps to follow. The incumbent's education, training, and previous experience will help ensure that the goal of the assignment can be clearly defined and understood (even if that means just knowing what relevant questions to ask), but the required/optional approaches to achieving the goal will often remain unclear, undefined and/or untested until the work assignment is well underway.
-One specific project that the successful candidate will lead is the development, execution and migration of ONE Access Gateway and THOR solution to the Ontario Health primary Cloud Provider including management of issues, risks, OH project delivery and change management process and reporting.
Required Experience / Evaluation Criteria:
-Minimum ten to fifteen years of project management experience demonstrating ability to project planning and execution. Experience with creating a comprehensive project plan with milestones, resource allocation, risk management, and timelines for the migration to Cloud AWS - 15 Points
-Excellent communication skills, demonstrating strength in presentation skills, verbal, written, active listening, conflict resolution and stress tolerance. - 15 Points
-Understanding of AWS services and cloud infrastructure and demonstrate experience with project managing solution in AWS cloud and migration planning from on-prem data center to cloud. - 15 Points
-Experience with Project Management Lifecycle, Software Development Lifecycle, project delivery methodologies like waterfall, Agile/Scrum. - 15 Points
-Experience managing projects integrating Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with complex dependencies on various products across different stakeholders, setting expectations and fostering collaborative working environment. - 15 Points

Deliverables Include:

-Accountable for on time, on budget completion of assigned projects following the Agency’s project governance framework and project management methodology as well as adhering to and promoting Ontario Health policies and standards, including privacy, security and architecture
-Responsible for resource management, scope management, budget and schedule management for the assigned programs and/or projects
-Develop project charters, integrated project plans and other project artifacts as required
-Ensure effective project change control including managing IT RFCs and deployments to the various environments
-Provide financial forecasts, actual against budget tracking and report progress and variance to stakeholders
-Proactively manage risks, and systematically resolve or escalate issues
-Ensure project reporting and forecasting is timely, accurate and appropriate for the various stakeholders
-Provide feedback and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
-Mentor and coach junior project management resources
-Manage transition of the product/project/work package to an operational environment

-Ontario Health assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario without prior written approval from Ontario Health.
Knowledge Transfer Details:
-The Candidate will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Ontario Health team before end of engagement. Some of this might occur at the end of the engagement but will also be shared as information is obtained/consolidated. Key deliverables will be shared with team, using an approved format.
-The Candidate must provide all related documentation as part of Knowledge transfer protocol. Documents will be reviewed by the appropriate leads and signed off by manager/director.
-The candidate will work collaboratively with Ontario Health team throughout the assignment and ensure key deliverables, milestones, and documentation are shared.
-A walkthrough of any demos, development, etc. will be required before end of engagement, as required.

-Use appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change in support of change during all stages of projects – concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-out
-Ensure go-live readiness: technical, configuration, conformance obligations and any workflow modifications
-Develop project status reports, deployment reporting/tracking and maintaining and monitoring status reporting logs for stakeholders within Ontario Health and the ministry
-Update and monitor project document repository to ensure all documents are reviewed and maintained in the repository
Qualifications
-10-15 years’ experience as a Project Manager
-2-3 years’ project manager experience managing AWS cloud projects
-2-3 years’ project manager experience managing API Gateway projects
-University degree in computer science, health care, business or related discipline is required
-Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is ten to fifteen years.
-Project Management Professional (PMP) or actively working towards a designation is preferred
-Experience with Project Management Lifecycle, Software Development Lifecycle, Agile/Scrum
-Experience delivering I&IT projects, including promotion of applications and services through different environments
-Experience with of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server
-Sound knowledge of finance and project cost-accounting principles and practices with demonstrated experience with managing project budgets
-Demonstrated know-how to get projects delivered under challenging circumstances and tight timelines
-IT Infrastructure and ITIL experience an asset
