Responsibilities
Works in partnership with clients, vendors and delivery partners providing advice on information technology solutions in order to meet business objectives or overcome problems.
Effectively communicates with stakeholders on system integration approaches and best practices, including but not limited to:
planning and scheduling project deliverables
identifying project dependencies
identifying project risks, issues and mitigation strategies
testing integrated solutions
operational and implementation planning
Provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.
Qualifications
OPS Experience
Experience providing program level leadership in the implementation of large complex IT solutions within a public sector environment.
Experience implementing IT solutions following the OPS project management methodology framework and gating processes.
Experience working within OPS procurement and Vendor Management directives.
Leadership Skills
Experience providing strategic program level Information Management & IT technology and IT infrastructure guidance to enable and enhance multiple business programs/processes through technology.
Leadership experience providing advice and guidance to IT and Client teams on information technology integrated solutions to meet the business objectives, address risks/issues and to improve structure and efficiency in complex I&IT systems delivery.
Experience leading and coordinating the implementation of vendor integrated solutions which include one or more of; payment processing, electronic data capture, image capture, image repository and external facing online portal (electronic payments, data entry and submission of documents) functions.
Technical Skills
Demonstrated experience in providing Management, Senior Leadership and Executive level updates and briefings on project risks, issues, decision points and status updates.
Experience coordinating concurrent deliverables with competing priorities.
Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of an integrated solution including payments processing, public facing portal, reporting and image repository deliverables.
Guiding multi-stream teams through integrated solutions quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables.
Anticipates and directs problem resolutions to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations.
Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables.
Assists the team PMs/leads in preparing reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc.
Works with clients and IT Leads to define the scope of a program and/or project and to confirm requirements.
Analyzes I&IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I&IT.
Provides oversight direction on design, test, installation and monitoring of new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems.
Provides strategic direction on change-management principles and methodology.
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
Communication
Resource must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with IT team members, IT Partners, Ministry Clients and vendors.
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
