Responsibilities
Collaborate with teams, clients, and vendors to support and implement approved changes to servers, infrastructure and services.
Collaborate with teams, clients, and vendors for Incident Management.
Complete and/or resolve Change Requests and Incidents within established SLAs and meet or exceed performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
Provide SME advice, partake in root cause analysis and continuous service improvement cycle.
Contribute to all other KLTO activities, including OS upgrades and regular patching activity.
Perform acceptance processes as infrastructure/services are transitioned from Solutions/Build team to Data Centre Operations for support, and decommissioning processes as infrastructure is retired from service.
Availability for after hours projects, change requests and incidents, and rotational after hours operational support.
Work with team and solutions/build on refreshes, expansions and new infrastructure/services being deployed as required.
Perform acceptance process as new infrastructure/services is transitioned from Solutions/Build team to Data Center Operations.
Educate rest of team and prepare operational documentation, knowledge sharing and training for new technologies being added.
Provide SME advice and experience to help guide solutions/build keeping operational support in mind.
Qualifications
Enterprise Tier 4 Unix Infrastructure experience
10+ years experience providing oversight to support unix infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience overseeing refresh and transition activities, as well as team resources associated with the migration.
Demonstrated experience with replacement of large enterprise complex services and hardware at large critical locations.
Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of modern Data Centre service models combined with a solid background in contemporary Data Centre approaches.
Recent Experience Within 3 years.
Documentation and Communication Skills
Demonstrated experience with assisting transition and refresh.
Demonstrated experience in change management activities.
Demonstrated ability for strong documentation and writing skills.
Project Management
10+ years demonstrated experience in complex projects related to data center uplifts, migrations.
