The Emergency Health Program Management & Delivery Branch (EHPMDB) supports life-critical services such as ambulance dispatch functions across Ontario. Under the Ambulance Act the Minister has the duty and power to establish, maintain and operate (alone or in co-operation with others) communication services used in dispatching ambulances, and to fund such services.
The Emergency Health I & IT Solutions & Technology Management Branch (EHSTMB) of the Health Services I&IT Cluster (HSC) supports these services through the acquisition, delivery and support & maintenance of related dispatch technologies, IT and telecommunications used within the Ambulance Communication Centres (ACCs) across the province and in the Branch’s Head Office operations. These critical applications and technologies are used by the Ministry to support 24x7 mission critical 911 call taking and ambulance dispatch functions across the province, and includes:
· Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) application and tools
· Telecommunication equipment and systems (i.e. Communication Console Systems and FleetNet)
· Technologies that digitally connects Land Ambulance Dispatch with other partners in first response and the health system (i.e. Real-Time Data Service and Mobile CAD)
· Reporting Applications and Tools
· Business Support Applications (i.e. Paramedic Certification, Inspections)
· The PSRN project and radio services have legislative and regulatory compliance linkages for both the project and Ministry partners. In addition, there are requirements to be compliant with municipal by-laws and standards established by the Standards Council of Canada.
MOH through HSC/EHSTMB is working with GMCB to ensure the successful implementation of PSRN which includes End User Deployment, Technical Readiness, Service Readiness, Communications and Training in addition to equipment rollout to:
· Approximately 750 locations including ambulance bases, hospitals, dispatch centres, Ornge operations control centre;
· 2000+ ambulances; and
· Over 10,000 resources (e.g., dispatchers and paramedics).
A Jr. Project Manager is required to work with Emergency Health Services (EHSTMB) to ensure successful business adoption of the Public Safety Radio Network Project. This role will coordinate the activities belonging to multiple streams and schedule resources to complete project tasks.

Responsibilities
- Support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in the management of activities on various projects.
- Perform day-to-day project coordination and administration activities such as tracking, reporting, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks, following up on action items, taking meeting minutes, updating project schedules using MS Project Online.
- Work collaboratively with other groups to ensure optimal integration as required.
- Assist in the creation of project artefacts, including scorecard updates, status reports, and provide input to management reports
- Perform analysis using tools such as Excel.
- Assist project managers with day to day tasks.
- Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.
-Creating and maintaining project management artefacts such as risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, and meeting minutes.
- Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.
- High level of proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts such as risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, and meeting minutes.
- Experience gathering data, performing analysis and building reports to support decision-making on project scope, schedule, cost data
- High level of proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders.
- Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills
