We are seeking a SME SAP Functional Consultant - Tax to support the rollout of a global SAP core template as part of a transformation program. This position plays a pivotal role in assisting countries with the deployment of SAP S4/HANA and SAP Ariba, ensuring smooth integration with legacy systems, and providing crucial expertise in tax processes, business acceptance testing, and change management.
In this role, you will be responsible for guiding through the deployment of the new global template, ensuring tax requirements are met, and overseeing key activities such as fit-gap analysis, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-deployment hyper care. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve gaps in processes, particularly from a tax perspective, and ensure alignment across teams.

Responsibilities
Template Rollout & Process Support
Support the deployment of SAP S4/HANA and SAP Ariba, ensuring seamless integration with legacy systems.
Facilitate fit-gap analysis sessions and provide process input to define tax requirements and to-be processes.
Assist in the preparation for deployment and due diligence, supporting the process lead and facilitating process design and change impact assessments.
Help develop training materials, review process inputs, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and hyper care activities.
Tax Process and Change Management
Identify and track gaps from fit-gap analysis and propose solutions to address them in the cluster rollout.
Drive cost-benefit analysis for supporting gaps and manage tax-related impacts through the change management process.
Provide input to the Change & Communication plan, including preparing content for communications and workarounds.
Participate in knowledge transfer and support data migration, SIT scenarios validation, and cutover planning.
Stakeholder Management & Training
Lead knowledge transfer to trainers and ensure the effective use of process training materials.
Provide guidance and support to country teams and GBO resources, addressing any concerns and ensuring a thorough understanding of the process and operating model.
Qualifications
Skills and Expertise
Strong understanding of tax requirements from a country perspective in a complex system landscape.
Proficient in process management, including governance, improvements, and integration across systems.
In-depth knowledge of Indirect Taxes, Tax Reporting, and Tax Automation.
Experience with S4 HANA, SAP ACR / DRC, and other tax reporting solutions in an SAP environment.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in business terms and align teams on process changes.
Key Experience
10+ years of experience in indirect tax and process management.
Proven ability to navigate large-scale SAP projects and understand tax impacts in the transformation journey.
Experience in external tax engines and working with S4 HANA Project Systems Modules.
