What you need to know:
Position: Temporary to permanent
Role: Production Worker
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift Time: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (30 min unpaid lunch + 2 x 15 min breaks)

* Must be comfortable working with seafood in a wet and cool environment *
*Must be legally permitted to work full-time in BC, Canada

Responsibilities
FROZEN PREP:
* Cutting fish using ban saw and grinder
* Trimming using knives
* Boxing and packing
FRESH PREP:
* Prepare fish filets for wrapping or freezing
* Weigh fish or shellfish, record weight, and pack fish in ice
* Boxing and sealing packages of seafood
* Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
* Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
* Clean machines and immediate work areas
Qualifications
* Previous seafood processing or production experience is an asset
* Comfortable working in a wet, cool environment
* Experienced or comfortable using knives to fillet, and saws, hand tools
* Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs
* Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Able to fluently communicate in English both verbally and written
* Steel-toed boots
