The Sr. Learning Consultant a key member of the Enterprise Learning & Development team, which is committed to delivering innovative and collaborative learning solutions that drive business results. This is a 9-month contract with our client in the banking industry, it requires the Learning Consultant to work onsite at our client's office in downtown Toronto 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner to business leaders, HRBPs, and Talent and Learning COE leads, addressing day-to-day inquiries and changes.
• Lead performance consulting and conduct needs assessments to identify gaps and develop solutions to enhance capability development.
• Manage and mentor a team of Learning Solution Architects, providing guidance, reviewing their portfolios, monitoring performance, and facilitating career development.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders, subject matter experts, and HR partners to understand business strategy and evolving learning needs, influencing and negotiating as needed.
• Offer learning advisory and thought leadership, introducing innovative solutions and recommending learning modalities and rollout plans.
• Develop and implement long-term learning strategies and roadmaps that align with the organization’s skills requirements and support the broader business vision.
• Collaborate with business and other partners to build the business case for learning development and define rollout plans.
• Partner with L&D stakeholders to ensure adequate staffing and resources for initiatives.
• Inventory and align learning assets with capabilities to support business outcomes.
• Collaborate with peers and other LSAs to ensure alignment with long-term learning plans and associated roadmaps.
• Ensure learning strategies adapt to evolving business needs and act as an intermediary between learning COE leads and business leads.
• Manage issues or escalations related to the learning strategy within the portfolio.
• Develop relationships with external learning partners to access best-in-class learning services.
• Align with enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to business architecture within the business area.
• Participate in industry committees and conferences to stay current on trends in learning and development.
• Implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase capacity in learning development and delivery.
• Provide updates on the development of learning assets, materials, and overall learning strategy progress.
• Gather and act on feedback from users and support areas, including various COE leads.
• Stay informed about emerging issues, trends, and business requirements, assessing their impact on learning strategies.
• Serve as a learning expert, integrating cross-functional understanding within the field.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant experience in learning and development.
• Strong understanding of learning and development, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of managing initiatives, projects, and programs with minimal direction.
• Proficiency with analytical software tools, data analysis methods, reporting techniques, MS Office Suite, and Internet applications.
• A proactive and dynamic approach to tasks and projects.
• Advanced knowledge of HR specialties, strategy development, policy, consulting principles, and industry practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret policies and apply standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in conducting organizational, team, and project-level needs assessments.
• Ability to perform market scans and provide best-practice research and insights.
• Familiarity with performance consulting methodologies and adult learning best practices.
• Problem-solving skills for complex issues, with a focus on generating business-oriented solutions.
• Strong planning and project management skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience in building and delivering executive-level presentations.
