Hours: Standard Hours (Flexibility to work long hours occasionally)

Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, Income Tax, your duties will include but not be limited to:
●Validate financial information for the test runs of data migration to purchaser; ensure that the test balances for tax accounts migrate correctly (but scope not known yet)
●Compile tax working papers for the preparation of the FY2023 and sub-period income tax returns
●Compile information to address queries from the bank. our income tax processes and returns
●Checking that all historical income tax records for open tax audit years are complete before transferring to the bank.
●Tax Reporting
●Assurance testing for 2023 tax slips (would need to complete testing earlier in 2024 than past years to reduce dependency on the TSA)
●Deceased 2023 T3 for HIFC (to complete the excel calculations for these 2023 T3 earlier – estimated 90T3s)
●NQI and deceased 2023 T3 for HIDC (to complete these 2023 T3 as soon as possible in 2024 – estimate 300 T3s)
●To comply with data for NQI, deceased T3s for the 2024 stub period for the bank.
●2024 stub period tax slips : approach to be determined but this would require Tax’s involvement
Qualifications
●Accounting skills and financial systems knowledge and common sense as primary skills
●Experience with systems changes/transitions is also important
●If the person also had income tax, Canadian tax slips, Preparation of Trust tax returns (for non qualifying investments and deceased taxpayers) experience that would be beneficial.
●Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
●Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, handle multiple requests and possess a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving
●Canadian accounting designation required.
●Openness to learn.
