The Finance & Accounting Division of Randstad Canada is now recruiting for a Senior Tax Consultant for one of our reputed client in Downtown Toronto.
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the effective and efficient administration of the corporation and its affiliates corporate income tax obligations; including but not limited to Federal and Provincial Corporate income tax, and other taxes as the need arises - with a focus on tax accounting, reporting, compliance, planning, and research.

Responsibilities
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statement tax provisions and related disclosures
- Analysis and preparation of tax account balances, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Assistance with tax forecasts and planning, research, and analysis of strategic initiatives, changes in legislation, and industry trends
- Completion and filing of corporate income tax returns and related working papers
- First point of contact with external auditors and consultants
- Assistance with government tax audits through the preparation of all necessary documentation and correspondence
- Compliance with the Corporation’s internal control framework and ensuring control narratives are updated on a regular bas
Qualifications
- Designated CPA Canada
- Strong accounting background obtained through a minimum of 5 years experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent industry experience gained at a large corporation
- Completion of CICA In-Depth Tax course or Mtax program desirable
- Progressive tax experience obtained through a minimum of 2 years working full-time in tax at a public accounting firm or large corporation in the industry for a total of at least (5) years of experience combining accounting and tax
- Drives Results & Accountability: has a clear sense of corporate direction, and expectations, and holds self and others accountable to achieve objectives.
