We are currently seeking a Temporary Shipper and Receiver with a high potentiality to become permanent to join a small team in downtown Victoria! You would be part of a dynamic company that is one of the leaders in foodservice equipment in Canada, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued.
Position: Shipper and Receiver (Temporary to Permanent)
Location: Victoria
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1 hour break)
Salary: $23/hour
Start Date: Immediately

Responsibilities
- Process necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Prepare and schedule assigned shipments.
- Verify received goods and input data into the system, forwarding relevant paperwork to Accounts Payable as needed.
- Coordinate daily transportation needs with various carriers and couriers.
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Track shipments and confirm receipt as required.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments efficiently.
- Conduct quality audits on the condition of goods for both incoming and outgoing shipments before final approval.
- Ensure shipments include proper documentation, and verify item lists for shipments containing multiple items.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to missing documents, shipments, or deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including managing the binning system.
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Assist showroom staff with various tasks as needed.
- Support customers in the showroom when necessary.
- Report to the BC Distribution Manager, while addressing daily issues with the onsite showroom supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe packing techniques.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Proficient in computer use, including Excel and email.
- Excellent attention to detail in all tasks.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive team player with a strong work ethic.
- Steel toe shoes or boots required.
