Skilled General Labourer

One of our clients in St. Thomas, ON, is looking for a talented, detail-oriented and dependable wood-finisher for their afternoon shift. The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, surface finishing, connection installation, application of coatings, assembly of structures, and inspecting finished product.

Responsibilities
What will you be doing in this St. Thomas manufacturing facility?

•Physically load/unload product onto equipment or trucks
•Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the production order to ensure equipment loading is complete and correct.
•Complete repairs to billet surfaces
•Install connections and apply coatings as per engineered drawings
•Complete daily inspection of equipment
•Assist in physical inventories


Qualifications
What does the job require?

• Woodworking experience is an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Detail oriented, both in paperwork and computer-generated drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
• Clear criminal record check
• Reliable transportation
