•Measuring and monitoring the network proactively to ensure stability, reliability and security
•Implementing procedures to generate notification of network and system failures on a 24 x 7 basis
•Providing support for staff and faculty using a variety of hardware and software
•Delivering a functional and secure infrastructure
•Implementing daily support, administration, and maintenance of critical applications
•Supporting application development cycle activities for the Applications & Development and Client Services teams
•Installing software, performing OS updates, advising on software and hardware refresh cycle, and assisting in supporting and maintaining Faculty of Arts and Science networks
•Fulfilling infrastructure needs for researchers and faculty staff with their teaching needs
•Handling high priority and complex issues, restoring system outages with urgency
•Performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fix
•Serve as a tier 2 technical resource to other IT professionals on systems related issues, and assumes responsibility for technical infrastructure activities and/or projects by providing technical leadership, and support to junior technical staff
