Work Arrangement: On-site working model
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 4:30pm (35 hour work week)
Salary Range: $24.00/hr
Start Date: As soon as possible – October 2023

Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
Under supervision of Financial Services Officer/Manager/Director
Monitoring of Financial Services inbox for AP invoices
Saving invoice in appropriate Company Accounts Payable folder(s) on the Finance Shared Drive.
Posting to Accounting system (SAGE Intact).
Assisting with AP payment run, EFT, Wire, Bill Payment, Cheque.
Daily Bank Deposit:
Financial Operations:
Monitor personal and group email for correspondence requiring action.
Save all documents according to electronic storage guidelines.
Assist with T4A slip preparation/reconciliation.
Assist with journal entry, monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Formal accounting training
Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Debits/Credits, basic Excel and Word.
Previous experience with computerized financial systems such as SAGE Intact, Sage 50/QuickBooks would be an asset.
The ability to work downtown Halifax, Monday to Friday
