SENIOR UX DESIGNER HEALTHCARE
Contract 1 year

We are currently looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our Montreal-based
design team immediately. You will report to the Software Development Manager
and help the UX/UI design team grow and learn. You will bring a collaborative design approach
to engage clients and team members across the vision, strategy, design and development work
phases.

Primary Responsibilities
Foster
• You’re at ease helping design team growth and being voice of users for multiple projects
with cross functional teams.
• You are ready to provide UX direction and lead design concepts, workshops (internal
and with customers), design mock-ups and documentation as required.
• Foster a greater understanding and appreciation of UX design, in the context of
instructor tools and training journeys, for the broader team and customers.
• Provide important guidance to both the customers and the internal teams by presenting
and creating potential solutions.
Solution
• Collaborate to ensure the best user experience and business outcomes for clients and at
the same time leverage internal assets (people, knowledge, platforms, component
library and code) to help deliver faster, better work.
• Drive creativity and focus innovation/effort in high priority ROI areas.
• Find ways to reduce complexity, risk, simplify or justify removing low level
requirements.
• Understand the customers, our competitors and key industry trends to help inform the
right potential solutions.
• Work with Project Managers, Product Managers, Solution Engineers with UX related
project scoping and estimates.
Communicate
• Ability to articulate and present the challenge, the design journey and the recommended
design solutions to project teams, subject matter experts and customers.
• Make your mark by being an influential voice internally and with our customers; true
understanding of end user and training needs.
• Communicate effectively to all project stakeholders: customers, managers, medical staff,
solution engineers and developers.
• Assist with product vision pitches - documents and presentations.
Who we're looking for
• You have designed user-centered applications and know how they fit into larger
customer journeys.
• Solid experience in both UX design; bonus points for training or medical oriented
application design.
• A complex problem solver. You’re great at asking questions to customers and team
members to ensure we’re focussed on the right training objective to be solutioned.
• An active player into the growth of UX/UI design teams previously.
• You can translate highly complex requirements into design specifications.
• Proficient with creative workflows and the latest tools including: Sketch; Invision +
Craft; Abstract; or Adobe XD.
• You love to learn and teach. You carry no ego and no sense of entitlement.
• A confident English communicator (written and verbal) both internally and to
customers.
• Self motivated and ambitious with a desire to work smarter and efficiently.
• Have launched at least one digital product before and understand why it
failed/succeeded
• 8+ years experience working within an application design Agile environment, or similar
highly complex technological products requiring fast study; thinking and action.
• Education in System Design Engineering, Software Engineering, Human Computer
Interaction, or equivalent experience
