The Service Technician is responsible for operating the company service truck and making local and out of town service calls in homes and businesses for onsite repairs of windows and doors. The ideal candidate for this role would bring 2+ years of experience in carpentry or construction, excellent customer service skills, proficiency and dexterity with hand tools and represent our brand proudly. Daily duties include installation and repair of windows and doors, troubleshooting problems as they occur, organizing logistics such as times and locations to meet deadlines in an efficient and timely manner, drafting paperwork and service documents and importantly representing our brand when working with vendors and customers.

This is a full-time, permanent employment opportunity
Home Location: Servicing Kelowna,BC
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift time: 7:00AM-3:30PM
Salary: $52,000-$58,300
This position requires a Class 5 drivers license in excellent standing; use of a company vehicle on a regular basis
You can pass a criminal background check, provide references and pass the Drug & Alcohol testing
You are comfortable travelling to Vernon, Penticton and Kelowna regions, on a regular basis
You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia and are located in the Vernon, Penticton or Kelowna region

Responsibilities
Operate service truck and service local calls in homes and businesses
Installation and repair of windows and doors in homes and businesses
Troubleshooting and on-site repair of product and installation of Glass
Handle on-site problems as they occur
Perform heavy lifting of glass
Organizing times and locations of work orders to minimize driving time around the city and maximize number of sites visited.
Maintaining and repairing service vehicles as required.
Drafting accurate and complete paperwork including the Service Summary Report to document repairs completed.
Represent the company in contacts with dealers, contractors and homeowners
Communication with customers, negotiating how costs of damaged products will be allocated and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
Expect 4-5 service calls daily
Comply with all Health & Safety regulations
Qualifications
This position requires a Class 5 drivers license in good standing; use of a company vehicle
You can confidently pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
Previous experience in a similar role or industry is an asset including carpentry and construction experience
Mechanically inclined and able to work on scaffolding at heights over 12 feet
Ability to perform manual (hands-on) work that requires good dexterity and coordination skills great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
Have a positive attitude, up beat energy and is comfortable to be trained on new processes
You are looking for a Permanent, long-term employment opportunity
You can meet all requirements pertaining to this role; out of town service calls requiring overnight stay
Position will require working overtime and short notice
You can meet the physical requirements and lifting of up to 60 pounds occasionally
You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia and are located in the Vernon, Penticton or Kelowna region
