Job Summary:
Responsible for staging, transporting, documentation and dumping all packaged dry ingredients into the chocolate paste batching systems.
Pay Rate and Shifts Available:
Afternoons: Monday-Friday 2:45pm-11:00pm (20 per hour)

Nights: Sunday- Thursday 10:45pm-7:00am (20 per hour)

Responsibilities
•Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs.
•Manually lift and dump ingredients (bags and/or blocks) into specified hoppers (up to 55 lbs).
•Measure ingredients and document amounts and according to formulas.
•Maintain raw material inventory logs and look over it on a daily basis.
•Empty garbage bins used in the batching department.
•In the event of any problems with equipment, contact Supervisor/Operator
•Clean work areas and equipment as assigned or scheduled.
•Maintain all production areas in a neat and clean condition.
•Properly account for any ingredient spills or scrap.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the batching Supervisor/Operator
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable performing physical tasks such as walking, crouching and climbing stairs consistently.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Good vision, depth perception and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, and communicate effectively. Must be able to interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and express ideas and concerns effectively to others.
- Able to log all incidents and actions taken in a clear and concise method.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide 4-digit numbers.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight (pounds, kilograms), percentages, or fractions.
- Ability to apply common-sense and understanding when carrying out multiple-step instructions.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with high noise levels and hot/cold temperatures.
