• The E4 – Engineer is a professional engineer or geoscientist who applies engineering knowledge to provide engineering, estimating, planning, and quality management services for medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.

Responsibilities
• A minimum eight (8) years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
• All the required Experience and Role Accountabilities shall relate to Overhead - and underground electric utility distribution systems operating at voltages at or below 35kV (primarily at or below 25kV).
• Monitor and evaluate distribution system performance, identify needs, and initiate appropriate corrective measures to manage risk and meet system performance objectives.
• Conduct and analyze technical and economic planning studies in Distribution which will identify short and long-term Distribution system requirements to reliably and efficiently supply domestic load. Issue short and long-term distribution system load forecast.
• Effectively manage distribution system performance requirements and associated risks and balance with appropriate investment.
• Develop automation and protection schemes to optimize distribution system performance, minimize system losses, maximize reliability, and facilitate interconnection of DER.
Qualifications
Must haves:
- Analyze and conduct planning studies for distribution systems.
- Be able to develop short- and long-term load forecasts.
- Ensure efficient domestic load supply.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Geoscientist (P.Geo.).
- Eligible for registration with Engineers & Geoscientists BC.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills.
Assets:
- Experience in load forecasting and distribution automation planning.
