We are currently seeking a Shift Engineer who will report to the Chief Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the facility is able to run at optimal production levels, with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the ammonia refrigeration system (compressors, tunnel & blast freezers, cold storage, chillers) within code requirement.
Monitor and respond to plant alarms.
Perform routine & preventative maintenance tasks on plant energy equipment (Engine room).
Update maintenance logs and records.
Work with others to plan and coordinate the completion of work.
Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as needed.
Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.

QualificationsRequirements
4th Class Power Engineer Certification with BC Safety Authority.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Shift Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Well-developed maintenance skill set.
Exceptional safety record.
Experience in a food processing industry is considered an asset.
Must be available for overtime and weekend hours if required.
