We're looking for an experienced Account Manager - Commercial Insurance for a mid-sized, very successful Insurance brokerage located near Union Station, on a permanent basis with a competitive salary, benefits, and 3 weeks paid vacation. We are looking to have someone start as soon as possible.

You'll be acting as an advisor and subject matter expert, supporting your clients with their Commercial Insurance needs and inquiries.

What YOU will be doing as an Account Manager - Commercial Insurance:

• Providing exceptional, consultative client service, helping clients make decisions surrounding their insurance needs and coverage, and while fulfilling various requests received over the phone and email, in a fast-paced environment.
• Working closely with an Assistant Account Manager to handle various policy-related administrative tasks such as processing and reviewing applications, handling renewals, endorsements changes, cancellations, the re-marketing of clients, and claims application initiation.
• Referring clients to the Personal Insurance, when appropriate, through needs assessments and exploration of cross-selling opportunities.
• Taking the time to understand client situation and needs to potentially upsell coverage.
• Uploading client information through the Broker Management System or through company portals
• Acting as a liaison between the client and insurers, following up on missing information, discussing underwriting concerns, and providing sound underwriting advice.
• Invoicing, collecting payments, and reconciling accounts at times.

What YOU bring to the table:

• Strongly Preferred: 1 - 4 years of experience in an Account Management, Sales, Underwriting related or similar role in an insurance brokerage, or insurance provider.
• MUST BE RIBO LICENSED.
• Exposure to Underwriting, Commercial lines, Professional Liability, or Group Insurance is a great asset.
• Exposure to E&O (Errors and Omissions) as well as CGL (Commercial General Liability) is a strong asset.
• Customer service oriented personality
• Excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
• Positive attitude with the flexibility to support the team with any needs that come up - great team player!
