Responsibilities
• Develop annual & monthly sales plan for assigned market and work with branch team to achieve plan, adapting weekly or monthly plan as market conditions change to ensure annual targets are met.
• Develop strategies, action plans and proposals to engage new and existing customers in assigned markets, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing profit, monitor and follow up on any changes to customer buying patterns.
• Responsible for servicing all orders for existing and new customers, including determining customer needs, upselling every opportunity, advising of monthly promotions and ensuring product is located from alternative sources to achieve the sale from the given departments within the organization.
• Work closely with the sales, marketing, warehouse teams to coordinate the products and act as a liasion between departments.
Proactively outbound call customers to develop and provide a value added business relationship that will drive sales and margin growth.
• Proven ability to sell via phone/ email/ zoom, effectively and create sales presentations and reports to communicating our products and services.
• Daily maintenance of CRM tool, which needs to include updated quality notes for each customer interaction within the system.
• Prospecting and current accounts in assigned territory, ,review open orders and back orders daily, following up with team members as appropriate
• Actively Searching Bid and tender opportunities and NMSO opportunities
• Participate as a team member in all areas of the operation, sharing best practices and any branch specific successes with other branches and sales reps.
• Communicate new product and service opportunities to buyer for investigation
• Participate in industry events and tradeshows, work collaboratively with marketing to develop promotions
• Align with Regional Sales Manager on personal development plan and execution.
• Assist with other projects/duties as required
Qualifications
• Demonstrate consultative selling skills
• Experience creating reports, presentations and documenting all data.
• Previous industry and product knowledge would be an asset.
• Experience with Tecsys-Streamline, ERP system would be an asset
• Limited amount of travel will be required
• 3 years’ experience in sales coordination, administration and proactive sales calls via phone/email/zoom.
• Experience in market development through telephone/email/zoom calls
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities
• Experienced with administrative sales functions (order entry, quoting, timely follow-up etc.)
• Experience working co-operatively with Sales and Operation Teams
• A self-starter that is extremely motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
• Bilingual in French and English will be an asset
• Proficient with excel, word and power point
• Team player, proactive communicator
