Randstad Is now looking for an Accountant for our client in the technology sector who is is a global leader in their field . This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of Accounting practices and procedures in a technology environment. This position is maternity leave cover for one year.

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant works as part of our Accounting and Finance group to support various Accounting responsibilities such as accounts payable, audit preparation, budget preparation, general ledger, journal entries, receivables, reconciliations, reporting and other Accounting related tasks. The person in this position will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant works under the general direction of the Controller. The individual in this role works as part to the Accounting team and interacts regularly with other departments. Day-to-day duties include completing various assigned tasks including but not limited to:

• Process and deliver invoices to customers
• AR, AP, Bank reconciliations
• Prepare various accounting schedules, including fixed asset, prepaid, etc.
• Fixed assets management and record keeping
• Light payroll & Tax process
• Monitor cash flows and cash management
• Track employee expense reports
• Help implement internal control
• Maintain accounting files and records in hard/electric copy
• Assist with monthly closing & budgeting/forecasting process
• Assist annual audit by providing necessary documents upon the request of CPA firm
• Run new customer credit history check as necessary to determine payment terms
• Other duties as assigned from controller and other senior management members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or other relevant discipline; plus, a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant
• Experience in full cycle accounting
• Strong understanding of excel with payroll and payroll processors. ADP is an asset
• Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems (ERP) with experience on IFS a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced deadline-oriented cross-cultural setting; must be a
• Hands-on self-starter with ability to adapt quickly.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
